RYA Training Centre

Derwent Water Marina is an approved RYA Training Centre.  The RYA Level 2 dinghy sailing course is aimed at those who have completed the RYA Level 1 course.   The course is designed to build your confidence and develop your skills. By the end of this course you’ll be a competent sailor in light winds. The course will be taught by one of our professional RYA instructors in a friendly, safe and practical manner in a mix of single and double handed sailing boats.

  • The course is run over 2 days from 09.30 to 5.00pm and consists of 2 x 4 hour sessions per day
  • £200 per person
  • Maximum group size 6
  • Minimum group size 3 (please see conditions below)
  • The minimum age on the Adult scheme is 16 years.  Under 16’s can follow the Youth Sailing Scheme
  • RYA Dinghy Level 1 course is required and a reasonable level of fitness and mobility
  • Wetsuits provided, please bring wetsuit shoes or old trainers
  • Changing rooms and showers avail
